Barcelona
After our hotel breakfast, those who wish can join the Girona & Figueres and La Roca Outlet Tour (Dalí Museum), which will be organized as an extra tour. (100 Euro) Our tour begins in the city of Girona, the pearl of Northern Catalonia, founded at the confluence of the Onyar, Galligants, and Güell rivers. The region is historically very rich, with artifacts left behind from dozens of invasions and reigns since the Iberians. Since all the buildings were constructed of stone and have been very well preserved to this day, they fully reflect the spirit of the past. With its museums, churches, narrow cobblestone streets, and medieval walls, it is a favorite among tourists. The Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the Jewish Quarter are among the places to see. After our tour, we head toward the city of Figueres. The importance of this place lies in the fact that surrealist artist Salvador Dalí was born here in 1904. Dalí established a museum here to leave something behind in the place where he was born and to exhibit his works. Today, this museum has the largest Dalí collection and is referred to as Dalí’s greatest work because he designed every part of it. The museum houses more than 4,000 works created by Dalí using different techniques. Finally, on our way back, we will visit the La Roca Village outlet, which houses many world-famous brands. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, those who wish may join the extra Park Güell & Gothic Quarter tour. (80 Euro) This park, protected by UNESCO and known as the “Fairy Tale Park,” is a work by Antoni Gaudí. With its colorful main staircase and imaginative pavilions, it creates a fairy-tale atmosphere. After our visit, we head toward the Gothic Quarter. With its medieval buildings, romantic squares, Roman walls, churches, labyrinthine streets, cafés, and souvenir shops, you will enjoy your time in the Gothic Quarter without getting bored. After our tour, those who wish may then join the extra Sitges Tour (50 Euro). Sitges is located 35 km southwest of Barcelona. It is a place with the spirit of a typical Mediterranean town, and with its perfect location between the mountains and the sea, it has become one of the rising destinations in recent years. We begin our visit at the magical steps of San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral, and then lose ourselves in its historic streets. Dating back to the 17th century, this cathedral was built on the remains of old Romanesque and Gothic churches. After admiring this magnificent cathedral, our next journey takes us through the historic streets of Sitges, where, within the medieval town center, Maricel Palace and Museum, one of the finest examples of Modernism, is a true paradise for art lovers. Right across from it is the Cau Ferrat Museum, the home of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in the Catalonia region. As he began exhibiting his paintings here in Sitges, he played the biggest role in making the town so well known. After seeing the colorful houses and charming bars in the narrow streets where the Sitges Festival, a venue for horror and fantasy films that attracts thousands of people every year, is held, we head toward the beach and spend the rest of our time there enjoying the day like the locals. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel. In the evening, those who wish may join the extra Flamenco tour. (65 Euro) You will be mesmerized while watching Flamenco, the dance of love, pain, rebellion, and passion. After completing our tour, following a free lunch, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
