Alsace – Eguisheim – Colmar – Riquewihr – Alsace
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Eguisheim & Colmar & Riquewihr tour (€100). Our first stop on the tour is Eguisheim, one of the charming towns of Alsace. As you wander through its narrow, delightful streets, among houses with wooden windows and balconies from which colorful geraniums hang, you will begin to lose yourself in stories of the past. Eguisheim has been a member of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France” club since 2003 and was chosen as the “Favorite Village of the French” in 2013. After our Eguisheim tour, we head to our second stop, Colmar. Colmar, with its colorful houses, flower-decorated streets, and enchanting beauty, is one of the most captivating cities and holds great importance as the starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. The canals that add even more beauty to Colmar are branches of the Rhine River. The colorful historic buildings lining the river, whose history dates back to the 1200s, are the city’s most distinctive and notable feature. During our Colmar tour, as we stroll through its carnival-like streets, we will visit Saint Martin’s Cathedral, with its giant stork nests, Rue Marchand (Merchant Street), and the “Petite Venise” district, meaning “Little Venice.” Our final stop on the tour is Riquewihr, known as one of the most famous villages in Alsace. The harmony of its two-story houses made of a mix of Alsace-style wood and stone, along with their different colors and shapes, makes this charming town—home to 1,200 people—visited by 2 million people each year. You will not be able to stop taking photos in this wonderful town, where history, culture, and nature blend together. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. (Depending on the density of the region, accommodation may be provided in nearby cities. For example: Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort, Offenberg, Karlsruhe)
Alsace – Heidelberg – Baden-Baden – Alsace
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the Heidelberg & Baden Baden tour, which will be organized as an extra by our guide. (85 Euro) No, not all German cities are alike. If you want to see a real German city, Heidelberg, where Hegel wandered the streets deep in thought and Goethe called an ideal city, a serene, elegant, refined, and profound city, will welcome you with the harmony of its architecture and nature. In the tour we will take upon arrival, the places to be seen include Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle (from the outside). After our tour, we move on to our second stop, Baden Baden. Located near the Germany-France border, this stylish, aesthetic, and equally peaceful German city set amidst nature offers countless possibilities, from thermal springs to culture and art museums, opera and theater, and even a visit to Europe’s most famous casino. The city of Baden Baden is also the setting for the novel “The Gambler” by the famous Russian writer Dostoevsky, in which he includes scenes from his own life. For this reason, Baden Baden is also a city that may attract literature enthusiasts. After our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. (Depending on regional density, accommodation may take place in surrounding cities. For example; Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort, Offenberg, Karlsruhe)
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Schaffhausen Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne tour (150 Euro), which will be organized by our guide. On our tour, our first stop is Rhine Falls. After our walk around Europe’s largest waterfall, with its captivating sound of water and its 150-meter width and 23-meter height, we head to Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland. Situated on the shores of Lake Zurich and at the foot of the Alps, Zurich hosts millions of tourists throughout the year with both its historical past and culture. The city’s history dates back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, and its name comes from Turus. Under Roman occupation in the 2nd century A.D., the city was named Turicum. When this name was translated into Swiss German, it was pronounced “Zuri.” According to the latest data, Zurich, the most livable city in Europe, is also called the cultural capital of Switzerland. Upon arrival, after seeing Grossmünster, Fraumünster Churches, and St. Peter’s Church, which has Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, regarded as the city’s shopping center. After our tour, we head to Lucerne. In this charming city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we end our tour and transfer to our hotel.
