Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen Airport)-Stuttgart-Strasbourg
We meet our valued guests at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, International Departures terminal, at least 3 hours before the flight. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart on Ajet Airlines’ scheduled flight *** to Stuttgart. Upon arrival in Basel at *** local time, we leave the airport to begin our city tour after passport and ticket procedures. We head toward Strasbourg. With our arrival, our panoramic city tour begins. Strasbourg, historically significant as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, appears before us as a city where Alsace culture and French architecture are blended together. We visit the Notre-Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, which held the title of the world’s tallest structure until 1874, the Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petit France district adorned with traditional Alsace houses. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. (Depending on the intensity of the region, accommodation may take place in surrounding cities. For example; Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort, Offenburg, Karlsruhe)
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Eguisheim & Colmar & Riquewihr tour (100 Euro). Our tour’s first stop is Eguisheim, one of the charming towns of Alsace. As you wander through its narrow, charming streets, among the houses with wooden windows and balconies adorned with beautiful colorful geraniums, you will begin to lose yourself in stories of times past. Since 2003, Eguisheim has been a member of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France” club, and it was chosen as the “French people’s favorite village” in 2013. After our Eguisheim tour, we head to our second stop, Colmar. Colmar, one of the enchanting cities with its colorful houses, flower-decorated streets, and overall beauty, is of great importance as the starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. The canals that add to Colmar’s beauty are branches of the Rhine River. The colorful historic buildings lining the river, whose history dates back to the 1200s, are the city’s most distinctive and noteworthy feature. During our Colmar tour, while strolling through its carnival-like streets, we visit St. Martin’s Cathedral, with its giant stork nests on top, Rue Marchand (Merchant Street), and the “Petite Venise” district, which means “Little Venice.” Our final stop on the tour is Riquewihr, known as the most famous village of Alsace... The harmony of the two-story Alsatian-style houses made of a mix of wood and stone, with their different colors and architectural styles, makes this charming town, home to 1,200 people, visited by 2 million people each year. You will not get enough of taking photos in this wonderful city, blended with history, culture, and nature. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Depending on regional density, accommodation may take place in surrounding cities. For example; Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort, Offenburg, Karlsruhe)
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Those who wish may join the Schaffhausen Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne tour (110 Euro), which will be organized as an extra by our guide. On our tour, our first stop is Rhine Falls. After a walk around Europe’s largest waterfall, with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters, accompanied by the mesmerizing sound of the water, we depart for Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city. Situated on the shores of Lake Zurich and at the foot of the Alps, Zurich hosts millions of tourists throughout the year thanks to both its historical past and its culture. The city’s history dates back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, and its name comes from Turus. Under Roman occupation in the 2nd century AD, the city was named Turicum. When this name was translated into Swiss German, it was pronounced “Zuri.” According to the latest data, Zurich, the most livable city in Europe, is also known as the cultural capital of Switzerland. Upon arrival, after seeing Grossmünster, Fraumünster Churches, and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, regarded as the city’s shopping center. After our tour, we depart for Lucerne. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, as well as the Chapel Bridge and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we end our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. (Due to regional density, accommodation may take place in surrounding cities. For example: Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort, Offenburg, Karlsruhe)
